Wallingford Middle Schools

In 2009, DCP offered our first DRT program to the junior high school students of Wallingford in a class held every Tuesday evening in Mr. Lyon's classroom at Moran Middle School. We had 12 students who eagerly and enthusiatically participated in our DRT program. Because this was DCP's first time teaching a DRT class in Wallingford, we delayed the travel portion of our program to spring 2010. Our 2010 program was equally as successful and several students participated in the week-long travel program to our Bimini field site.

Beginning in early 2011, DCP will offer our third DRT program in Wallingford to middle school students from the area. The class will again be held on Thurssday evenings from 6:30 - 8 pm. The syllabus for the class is attached below as a download PDF file. The application that each DRT student participant must complete is also provided below. Applications are due to Mr. Lyons, at Moran Middle School, or DCP by January 21st.

The spring 2011 DRT program will focus on DCP's work in The Bahamas, both at Dolphin Encounters and off the island of Bimini. Topics will be centered around issues of conservation. Check out the syllabus below. We look forward to seeing you in class!
