There were no boat trips available for me today, but at dusk I watched a large group of dolphins frolic near the port.

Today was the beginning of a 2.5 day workshop between the children of Mikura and of Camp Zama to learn about their culture as well as nature, the ocean and dolphins. Read more: The Youth from Camp Zama arrive.
This weekend, students from Camp Zama will come to Mikura for an international exchange, to learn from each other as well as about the oceans and nature. Read more: The rainy season has begun.
There were too few guests for many boats and the weather was icky (scientific term!). So, we reviewed videotapes and wrote details for a workshop this weekend. Read more: An 'in port' day - no boat trips & wind & rain
The day dawned gray but without wind. The ferry brought more than 100 guests (tourists) to Mikura meaning the weekends are filled with ecotours. Read more: Our first 'In Port' Day.
